Center for Graduate School Innovation
The Center for Graduate School Innovation is a university-wide organization
that plans, prepares, and coordinates common education, career support,
and study/research environment improvements for graduate school students.
What are Common Graduate School Subjects?
The Graduate School of Tohoku University has been offering "Common Graduate School Subjects" since 2022.
The purpose of this program is to cultivate in-depth education, learn about contemporary social issues, and acquire transferable skills in order to develop creative and dynamic researchers and highly specialized personnel who can transcend all boundaries.

【Canceling Registration in Common Graduate School Subjects (AY 2024, 2nd Term)】
If you wish to drop a Common Graduate School Subjects in which you are registered for the 2nd term of 2024, you should first contact the instructor
by email to ask for their approval of canceling the class. Then enter a Cancellation of Registration Form by the appropriate deadline shown below.
Subjects that you have canceled will initially be entered as a "D" grade, but this will be changed to "E (canceled)" around mid-March. However,
if you do not submit this cancellation form, and do not earn credit for the class (because you do not attend it etc.), your grade will be entered as
"D (did not attend)."

*Attach a screenshot of the email from the instructor that proves their approval of cancellation of class.

・Announcement of the first semester results for FY2024
To be announced by Thursday, February 13, 2025.
Please use the Student Affairs Information System to check your grades and credits
earned in Common Graduate School Subjects after Friday, February 14, 2025.
・Appeals regarding grades
If students have questions about their grade for the semester, they may obtain an explanation
from the instructor of the class about your grade by submitting a petition to the Educational
Affairs Division within the specified period (within two weeks) after your grades are announced.
