Overview I（博士論文研究課題）、Overview II （プログラム内インターンシップ研究課題）
博士論文研究およびプログラム内インターンシップで実施した研究それぞれについて、過去の研究トレンド、明らかになっている点と今後の課題、その中における自らの研究の位置付けと新規性や波及効果をまとめます。　主査、副査、共通副査（MDプログラム専任教員）により評価します。
Regarding the doctoral dissertation as well as the research conducted during the “Internship in MD program”, students read papers and summarize the trend of previous research, what have been revealed, and what will be the future problems. Also students monitor and summarize every other researchers’ ideas to solve the problems. Main examiner (student’s academic advisor), sub examiner (faculty members knowledgeable in the field) and MD program professors will be examiners.

申請時期が近づきましたら、受審対象学生へ詳細が周知されます。オーバービューⅡについては、提出時期や発表に関して制限を設けず、随時受け付けます。　受診希望者は下記の「オーバービューⅠ、Ⅱの実施について」をよく読み、申請届をMDプログラム教務係へ提出してください。

〈提出資料についての注意事項〉

  • 申請届に記入する主査および副査について、発表者のオーバービューを審査できる教員であれば制限はありません。
  • 資料や文献リストは、発表者が主査と副査に配付してください。（必要であれば事前に説明してください）
  • 文献リストは著者と雑誌名だけではなく、論文タイトルを必ず入れてください。少なくとも50以上、できれば100報くらいの論文をあげてください。パワーポイントの説明資料に、引用文献を脚注としてのせる又は文献リストの文献番号を示して、引用がわかるようにしてください。

〈時間配分〉

  • オーバービューⅠ :発表25分　質疑応答：15分
  • オーバービューⅡ：発表20分　質疑応答：10分

〈その他注意事項〉

  • 博士課程後期の前半（D2の前半）までには実施するよう計画を立ててください。（特にオーバービューⅠ）
  • OV1：研究面での世界の動向と自分の研究の立ち位置、応用面での自分の研究の価値、社会との接点（基礎研究の場合は応用の可能性、課題が解決できるとどんなインパクトがあるのか）　を中心に整理する。
  • OV2：自身のプログラム内インターンシップの研究結果に基づいて、当該分野の研究動向と先行研究の調査、現在において解決すべき課題とその方法に関する考察を行う。

Students in Doctoral course will be announced on the details of Overview qualification. Read guideline and the important things when undergo Overview. Submit necessary documents to MD Academic Affairs. As for the Overview Ⅱqualification, the application form can be submitted any time. Overview I, Overview II qualification: May, November (As for the Overview II, you may apply for it anytime)

Documents to be submitted:

– Overview　application
– Overview presentation and reference list

Important things:

  • There are no restriction for the professor who may be an examiner.
  • Students will provide their presentation and reference list to their examiners. If there is any need, explain them in advance.
  • A reference list must be contained titles of papers as well as author’s name and journal information names (volume No., article No.). Cite 50 or more papers at least (cite 100 papers approximately, if possible). Insert footnote about references in the power point.
  • Presentation of Overview I is allocated 40 minutes; 25 minutes for a talk, and 15 minutes for discussion.
  • Overview II is allocated 30minutes; 25 minutes for a talk, and 10 minutes for discussion.
  • Plan to finish both overview qualifications by the spring semester in D2.
  • OV1： Summarize latest world’s trends on your research, your research’s standing and values, and connection with society. (If your research is fundamental, summarize possibility of application and what impacts may be achieved.)
  • OV2：Based on the results of research earned through the internship in a Lab belonging in MD program, present your investigation on the trend and previous researches in the field, and also present your ideas on the problems predicted in the research and solution to overcome the problems.
